Polish central bank tights economics
Polish central bank tights economics
Even of significant inflation rate increase which is currently big problem in whole region of Central Eastern Europe, most of central banks in Central Eastern Europe do not make expected steps.
Only Polish central bank decided to react on price increase and increased its basic bank rate from 5,75 % to 6 %. This step has been expected by major of analysts and polish stock exchange has not reacted dramatically.
However, even of this increase, currency and inflation aims are not fulfilled. Polish government was expecting inflation about 2,5 %, but even of the increase in rates, current level of inflation increases 4 % and does not seem to be stooped early.
